Recession Party
Are you feeling the economic pinch but still want to have fun with friends and family? Is your budget tight but still want to hang out with friends? Have a Recession Party! Friends of mine AJ and Jesse, had a Recession Party. So they invited friends over around 8 pm (after the dinner hour). They told friends to bring the liquor and they only spent about $30 for snacks.
If you want to add a twist to it, you can have it start around 6pm (or whatever feeding time you want). You can ask everyone to bring enough liquor for them and a dish. And, everyone can share. Imagine a pot-luck “Recession Style”. If you want to get sophisticated you can have everyone pick what they are going to bring. For example, let’s say you want to have a tossed salad, pasta salad, chicken dish, another meat dish and dessert. And you want to have white wine, red wine, and a few mixed drinks. You can assign different people and couples the dish and drink so that you have enough types of food and liquor. And, all you provide is the location, maybe some hors d’oeuvres and a “House Drink.”
Have fun!!!
