Mobile Garden
Let’s say you live next door to someone whose trees are encroaching upon your yard and giving you massive amounts of shade and very little sun. How can you do a viable vegetable garden? Or, maybe parts of your yard get good sun during a first half of the summer but so much during the second half of the summer. How can you have a viable garden with plants that require full sun?
Here is a solution to those types of problems: a mobile garden.
- Get an old wheel barrel at a tag sale, craigslist or maybe you are lucky enough to have one laying around.
- Fill it with dirt.
- Plant a vegetable or flower in the dirt filled wheel barrel.
Wheel barrels make great accent pieces for your yard and they can be quite useful. If you need to move it around your yard it is quite mobile! My mother’s neighbor employs this technique and he is about to harvest sweet potatoes. Yum! Cheers! Happy Gardening!
